About the Artist

T.C. McKenna is a freelance artist and aspiring comic book artist/writer. She has a B.S in Biology (Evolutionary, Ecology & Behavioral) from the tiny, yet indefatigable Beloit College (2006).
She likes science, evolution, computer modelling, animals of all shapes and sizes, proper musculature on winged fantasy creatures, dinosaurs, music, comics, books, running and the outdoors. She works by day as a veterinary technician and freelance artist by night (like every good superhero).
At the moment, she is working on pursuing a higher degree in animation so that one day she can do the animations for the those educational nature programs on the nature of flight and how dinosaurs really looked. In her limited spare time, she runs marathons, sees animated films, drinks tea, teaches herself programming languages, doodles strange beasts and dreams about living in a more sunny locale.

About the Art

The art is done in a variety of mediums from digital to traditional. I prefer sumi ink & comic board (I use blue line) for the comics, since I like using real brushes and dip pens and being able to move the paper around when I ink. My favorite real medium is probably watercolor, despite its tendency to be finicky. Most of the digital stuff is done with my trusty Intuos tablet (5 x6 ) and Photoshop CS or Illustrator (and occasionally painter). For sketching I like Alias' Sketchbook Pro. If you have a question about a particular piece, send me an email and I'll happily respond (and post it here if it seems general enough).

Art Usage:
1. Saving art for personal enjoyment (desktop background, etc) is allowed. For icons (livejournal, avatars), I'd prefer if you gave credit, and linked back to the website (www.feralkiwi.com). DO NOT REPOST AS YOUR OWN ART, SELL or ALTER the images in any way. Copyright All images and original characters are (c) 2008 to T.C. McKenna
